Second draft for poster brief. This year it’s the 25th aniversary of Berlin and Paris - they want a poster. I think it works better with the border and the font as well as the more equal distribution of characters. Check out paris-berlin25.com if your interested.

First draft for poster brief. This year it’s the 25th aniversary of Berlin and Paris - they want a poster. Really out of practice with my drawing at the moment so I’ve had to abstract the figures a lot but I think it works better than if they were realistic. The centre of the wheels are supposed to mark the places of Berlin and Paris on a map. Check out paris-berlin25.com if your interested.

Ok so this is sort of the culmination of my project on boxing. The actual print is a lino reduction and is about A2 size. I feel undecided about it pros: The composition is planned and considered rather than a good photo, the characters are all drawn in without exact reference, the colours work, the printing was great considering how large it was. Cons: its very similar to my old work, the image is very static when I wanted it to be about movement, the light on the floor looks wrong, im not sure about the composition. Still though, it was extremely satisfying to peel of the paper on the last layer and seeing the print complete.
I entered it into the V&A competition here.
